• To operate and improve the Hangout platform.
• To send you event notifications and updates you've opted into.
• To calculate Flake Scores based on RSVP follow-through.
• To prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
• To analyze aggregate usage trends (no personal data sold).

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Other users: your display name, avatar, and event activity are visible to other participants within the context of shared events and circles.
• Service providers: hosting (Vercel), database (Turso), authentication (Firebase), and analytics (Firebase Analytics) — under strict data processing agreements.
• Legal requirements: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of users.

Event locations are entered by hosts. Full location details are only revealed to users who have RSVP'd "Going." Users who haven't responded will only see a general area or obfuscated location.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

We use cookies and Firebase Analytics to understand how users navigate the platform. This data is aggregated and not used to build individual advertising profiles. You may disable cookies in your browser settings.

Hangout is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware of such data, we will delete it.

We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure token-based authentication, and restricted database access. No system is perfectly secure; use the Service at your own risk.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
